Townsend Barbershop

fig.TSBS — the little yellow shop

Townsend Barbershop is one of those places that feels familiar the first time you visit. They're located on a quiet street in Alamo Heights where (Christopher) walk-ins are always welcome; but, take it from a regular & book ahead of time on Square. You'll find a link to schedule directly in the hero of the all new website.

Brief

I love Townsend, you love Townsend, everybody loves Townsend. The first time I strolled in, I knew I found my barber. No fluff, great cuts, friendly people, chill music. What more could you ask for? Well, a website, I guess.

So I made one. Surprisingly, Sweet never had one made, and the domain was available. Simple as!

Condition on arrival

01Townsend Barbershop has existed largely through the Google Business listing, Square booking links, and social media. While there's always been curiosity around having a website (or needing one, for that matter) the shop never put down any dot com real estate.
02As much as we all love the lowkey nature of Townsend Barbershop, the shop (and Sweet) deserve a little more spotlight. It's a small business with a big personality, and if anyone deserves a great website it's Townsend. Having a site opens up an entirely new level of possibilities for showcasing the business, selling shop merch, launching social promos, and then some.
03The biggest constraint? Limited content. Outside of Sweet's profile, our biggest win comes from the Townsend hero video provided by Dinh Creative. We pushed the limits of low budget, high polish on this project, using cutting edge ai tools, low-cost hosting, and a completely custom site template.

Result

01While I cant make claims to an increase in bookings, I can say it's nice to hit the website and click "book now" instead of navigating to google search results or the business page, or rebooking through the Square app. It also feels more official when asked "who trims your beard?" and being able to reply with the new site. It's the little things.
02A completely refreshed business outlook.
